What now seems like an long long time ago, the mission to exchange a six litre 650bhp Bentley Continental gt for a more modest car began. Now, almost two months into the exchange we are at the tip of either success or failure.

There would be a few challenges sure and it wouldn’t be easy pickings but safe to say I was not prepared for the odd enquiries, the car supermarket experience and the odd scam.

What of todays S1000RR, how has it matured and managed to keep its crown? 8 years is quite a long time in bike terms but it goes to show that all that research and development BMW put into the S1000RR back in 2008, has paid off. Today we have both bikes, one from 2010 and one from 2018.
